Abstract

Collision avoidance systems like emergency braking assist systems have demonstrated their effectiveness in increasing the safety of vehicle passengers in various studies. To further increase the effectiveness of collision avoidance systems, the exploitation of the lateral free space by evasive maneuvers is being investigated in this book. This work focuses on methods for integrated trajectory planning and vehicle dynamics control in collision avoidance scenarios by combined evasion and braking.

Abstract

The electrical energy on electrified bicycles offers new functional possibilities such as an active safety system to assist the rider during the braking process. This work shows the technical feasibility of such a system by presenting a rideable prototype. The so-called braking dynamics assistance system prevents the cyclist from both front wheel lockup and rollover (along the vehicle’s transverse axis).

Abstract

The biennial Congress of the Italian Society of Oral Pathology and Medicine (SIPMO) is an International meeting dedicated to the growing diagnostic challenges in the oral pathology and medicine field. The III International and XV National edition will be a chance to discuss clinical conditions which are unusual, rare, or difficult to define. Many consolidated national and international research groups will be involved in the debate and discussion through special guest lecturers, academic dissertations, single clinical case presentations, posters, and degree thesis discussions.
