Abstract

In dieser Arbeit wird ein Simulationswerkzeug zur Untersuchung des komplexen elektromechanischen Verhaltens von Ferroelektrika entwickelt. Es wird ein neues Materialmodell vorgestellt, das die elektrische Leitfähigkeit der Ferroelektrika berücksichtigt. Anhand von anwendungsnahen Beispielen wird der Einfluss der elektrischen Leitfähigkeit untersucht.

Abstract

Die in den Elektroden von Brennstoffzellen auftretenden Verluste werden von Material und Mikrostruktur beeinflusst. In der vorliegenden Arbeit über SOFC-Kathoden erfolgt deren Bewertung aufgrund von Berechnungen mit der Finite-Elemente-Methode. Transportvorgänge und elektrochemische Reaktionen werden in einer nachgebildeten Mikrostruktur ortsaufgelöst betrachtet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen das Potential dieser Mikrostrukturmodellierung und liefern Hinweise für weitere Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten.

Abstract

In der Arbeit wird eine elastische Linse variabler Brenn­weite entwickelt. Es ergibt sich aus einer analy­tischen Untersuchung das Konzept einer Kompositlinse mit einem weichen Kern. Über Kerngeometrie und -steifigkeit kann das Deformationsverhalten angepasst werden. Eine Finite-Elemente-Optimierung der Kernparameter minimiert die Abweichungen von der Sphärenform. Die optimierten Kompositlinsen erreichen in der Simulation auf dem ganzen abgedeckten Brechkraftbereich die optischen Eigenschaften von sphärischen Referenzlinsen.

Abstract

The aim of the present work is to describe the deformation and fracture behavior of single crystal tungsten at the microscopic scale by using the ?nite element method. Therefore, the studies focus mainly on the in?uence of crystal orientation as well as the investigation of crack initiation and crack propagation. With a defined crack propagation model, the simulations of microbending allows for evaluating the details of the fracture process more accurately and supported the experimental studies.

Abstract

Computer assisted surgery systems intraoperatively support the surgeon by providing information on the location of hidden risk and target structures during surgery. However, soft tissue deformations make intraoperative registration (and thus intraoperative navigation) difficult. In this work, a novel, biomechanics based approach for real-time soft tissue registration from sparse intraoperative sensor data such as stereo endoscopic images is presented to overcome this problem.

Abstract

A single-crystal plasticity model as well as a gradient crystal plasticity model are used to describe the creep behavior of directionally solidi?ed NiAl based eutectic alloys. To consider the transition from theoretical to bulk strength, a hardening model was introduced to describe the strength of the reinforcing phases. Moreover, to account for microstructural changes due to material ?ux, a coupled diffusional-mechanical simulation model was introduced.

Abstract

In experiments on metallic microwires, size effects occur as a result of the interaction of dislocations with, e.g., grain boundaries. In continuum theories this behavior can be approximated using gradient plasticity. A numerically efficient geometrically linear gradient plasticity theory is developed considering the grain boundaries and implemented with finite elements. Simulations are performed for several metals in comparison to experiments and discrete dislocation dynamics simulations.

Abstract

This work furthers the overall understanding of a 3w-measurement, by considering previously unexamined macroscopic influence factors within measurement by Finite Element simulations (FES). Moreover, new measuring configurations are developed to determine (an)isotropic thermal conductivities of nanoscale samples. Since no analytic solutions are available for these configurations, a new evaluation methodology is presented to determine emergent thermal conductivities by FES and Neural Networks.

Compared with the electrical steel, the soft magnetic composites (SMC) shows magnetic isotropy and lower eddy current losses. Thus, it becomes an important impulse promoting the development of new topologies of electrical machine. The application of SMC in the electrical traction machine for hybrid electrical vehicle or electrical vehicle has been researched in the work.
