Abstract

Ba$_{0,5}$Sr$_{0,5}$Co$_{0,8}$Fe$_{0,2}$O$_{3-?}$ (BSCF) is the most promising material für energy efficient oxygen separation membranes. But its electrical and transport properties are unstable at temperatures below 840 °C. Reasons are structural changes to secondary phases in the cubic lattice. By doping with Y, Ti and Nb the cubic lattice shall be stabilized. Goal of this work are analyses of the dopant’s influences on BSCF’s electrochemical properties.

Abstract

This work deals with the analysis of the cleaning mechanism of polymer woven filter media. It reports parametric studies for the cleaning of filter media using continuous and pulsed flows for different kinds of impurities and filter geometries. There the focus is on the development of dimensionless operation numbers, which can be used to predict the cleaning result of the respective filter medium.

Abstract

The aim of the present work is the mathematical modeling of solid bowl centrifuges for the dynamic simulation of separation processes in real time. The developed compartment model couples the residence time behavior with the material properties and thus allows a time and space-resolved simulation for solid bowl centrifuges. The profound insights into the separation process open up not only a better design, but also new fields of application such as the dynamic flowchart simulation.

Abstract

Driven by market signals, energy consumers are motivated to adapt their grid load. Due to their cryogenic storage capacity, air separation units can efficiently be used for load shifting. Such an operation leads to new challenges for plant operation and control. The developed pressure-driven dynamic column model is used to investigate load-flexible operation.
