Happy holidays

Happy Holidays! The Directory of Open Access Books looks back on a great year: establishing DOAB as an independent, non-profit foundation, supported by OAPEN, OpenEdition, CNRS and Aix-Marseille Université, introducing our Library membership service, and being selected by SCOSS for support by the scholarly community. We are looking forward to 2020 and we hope this will be a good year for you and for open access books! Library membership DOAB is delighted to welcome its first library members. We rely on support from stakeholders in scholarly communication to sustain our services. Publishers and academic institutions such as universities, libraries and library consortia can support DOAB by becoming a member. We are very grateful that, in addition to Jisc (a DOAB supporter for many years), KU Leuven and the Friedrich-Althoff-Konsortium have joined us as members. The Friedrich-Althoff-Konsortium consists of academic institutions of the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, co-operating to provide their users with scientific information from electronic publications. Growth of DOAB In 2019, DOAB has doubled in size, with over 26,000 OA publications at the time of writing. This success is the result of the contribution by many publishers, with the largest contributions coming from the publishers united under OpenEdition, IntechOpen, KIT Scientific Publishing, and Peter Lang Publishing.
